Piuma
Inkless pen with an Ethergraph tip (inspired by the Silver Point technique) in a wooden body, commemorating the master Leonardo Da Vinci.
In the early 16th century, Leonardo devoted himself to flight research and the design of a flying machine. He thought about writing an escape treaty, divided into four chapters. The treaty was never completed, but in early 1505 he wrote part of the Code on the Flight of Birds, held at Biblioteca Reale in Turin, with the goal of understanding the mystery of flight. Leonardo's reflections on these texts led to the creation of the Pium, an all-wood writing instrument with a dynamic shape reminiscent of a goose-pen and a study of flight. Piuma rests in constant balance on a mirrored steel pedestal through which the mirrored signature of the master is reflected.
